Prototype WheelChair Control System
As part of the CSIRO Gold CREST Award procedure, Yaya's
report about using LEGO NXT robots to prototype a wheelchair control
system for use by complete quadriplegics, had to be reviewed by an expert in the area, to
make sure it was up to Gold CREST standard. The Senior Lecturer in
Mechatronics and Medical Engineering at the University of Tasmania
very kindly offered to examine Yaya's report. He suggested
submitting an abbreviated version to an IEEE conference. It was
subsequently approved for oral presentation at that conference.
